10 New adidas Releases You Can Buy Now Instead of The Yeezy 350 Boost
Tomorrow adidas will be releasing their third collaboration sneaker with Kanye West?and the second colorway of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost. The previous two adidas Yeezy Boost releases have reached a level of popularity that has been pretty much equal to Kanye’s releases with Nike. The only difference is that now there’s more pairs produced so the resell prices aren’t as high because of obvious reasons. At this point most people love or hate what Kanye is doing over at adidas. There’s not many people that are really in between anymore. You either love the shoe and have been doing everything in your power to make sure you get a pair for yourself, your girlfriend and your momma this weekend, or you don’t care one lick about the sneaker and you see it as any other adidas shoe that’s releasing on any given day. I personally fall into the latter category. However, this is not to say that I’m not a fan of adidas, because I am.
Over the last couple of years since I started writing for a sneaker blog I’ve payed real close attention to lots of brands, with adidas being towards the top of the list of brands that produce the best work, at least in my opinion. And it would be pretty hard to argue against that. Just think of what’s been done with the?Superstar, Stan Smith, ZX Flux, Tubular and anything with Boost in it in the past year. Need I say more? So if you’re like me and you’re not a fan of the Yeezy Boost, there’s LOTS of other adidas heat that you can cop at this very moment without any stress or hassle of having to line up for a raffle ticket. Here are 10 relatively new adidas releases that you can pick up now INSTEAD of the Yeezy 350 Boost tomorrow.
1adidas Originals Superstar Weave
The Superstar is without a doubt the most iconic shoe that adidas has. If you ask anyone who knows very little about sneakers if they’ve seen the Superstar odds are that they will say yes. This modern version of the shell toe features a weave upper that provides your foot with great breathability and also serves as a head-turner.
2adidas Originals?Stan Smith
Not too far behind the Superstar in terms of popularity is the Stan Smith. This sneaker was once used only for tennis, but now the silhouette is know for its lifestyle appeal. Within the least year the Stan Smith has been hit with plenty of materials, prints and collaborations that it’s hard to keep up with all of them. This particular pair comes with some sleek gun metal plate detailing on the heel that immediately catches your eye. The?snakeskin textured upper is also a good look.
3adidas Originals Tubular Runner Weave
Do you agree that the?argument can be made that the Tubular has been adidas’ best lifestyle sneaker?of 2015? Because I sure think it can. This Weave version features a woven upper with some nice leather overlays in light grey. Those hits of red on the tongue and heel pull tabs are what really make the shoe for me. Do you own any pairs of Tubulars?
4adidas Originals ZX Flux
Ever since arriving on the scene the ZX Flux has essentially been to adidas what the Roshe Run is to Nike. With so many colorways and materials to choose from it’s hard for fans of the silhouette to only buy one pair. I’ve seen people on IG that have 10 or 15 pairs of the ZX Flux and they all look completely different from one another. My favorite colorways are the ones that feature multicolor uppers or graphic prints. It really catches your eye and makes you say “Hey, those are some nice kicks!” Just like this pair did to you right now.
5adidas Originals ZX 8000 Boost
Debuting?earlier this year without any real proper introduction from adidas was?the ZX 8000 Boost. So far this is the only shoe on the list that uses the same Boost technology as the Yeezys. This burgundy and teal floral upper pair is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and the translucent heel cage is also a nice touch. You can never go wrong with anything that has Boost on it, especially when it looks this good.
6adidas Originals Tubular Primeknit
When I first heard that the Tubular was going to incorporate Primeknit into its design I was eagerly looking forward to see what it would look like. When I finally saw it I was not disappointed. This black colorway is one of my favorite, but now I’m just waiting for adidas to release a multicolor version. When we see that it’s sure to be FIRE! (insert fire emoji here).
7adidas Los Angeles
Making it’s debut this Summer was the adidas Los Angeles. I’m not sure why this silhouette was dubbed Los Angeles, but I like it. When I took a closer look at the shoe it reminded me more and more of the Nike Flyknit Racer. I know it doesn’t have the Flyknit upper, or in this case Primeknit, but it’s very low to the ground and it has a clean and sleek look to it. This colorway even has denim on the side panels that make it very versatile.
8adidas Ultra Boost
Don’t get it twisted, the adidas Ultra Boost was already dope way before Kanye West decided to wear the all white pair. The only difference now is that people hypebeasts actually decided to pay attention to it. The shoe hasn’t released in as many colorways as I’d hoped, but this royal blue version is one of my favorite so far. Will we ever see a multicolor edition adidas??? I’ll be waiting on your answer.
9adidas Y-3 Qasa High
I believe that the only reason that you don’t see more people with Y-3 sneakers is because of their high price tag. But like they say, you get what you pay for. I’ve never held a pair of Y-3 Qasa Highs in my hand, but from what I’ve heard they’re top quality and they are extremely comfortable. It’s basically a Roshe Run on steroids. This red and black colorway from the “Independence Day” Pack is just beautiful.
10adidas Originals Tubular X
Since the Tubular became so popular, adidas decided to take the lifestyle runner and give it a Y-3 type look. One of those hybrid Tubulars is this Tubular X silhouette that has a much higher cut and also uses a knit upper. It’s kind of like the Yeezy 750 Boost but in my opinion looks way better. The only downside is that it doesn’t feature Boost technology. Maybe down the line it’ll be added in, but with a higher price tag of course. Great sneaker that you can dress down or up.
