Renowned boutique retailer Concepts has teamed up once again with frequent collaborator New Balance for thelimited-edition MS066 Collection, which features a shoe boasting a 3-D printed midsole that will only be available at its New York City storefront. The225 Hudson St. door will offer the collection, which boasts footwear and apparel designed in New Balance’s Lifestyle Design Studio in Tokyo. The collection will be available on Saturday, and theMS066 sneaker will retail for$350. Another look at the Concepts x New Balance MS066.Courtesy of New Balance.The shoe, according to New Balance, reimagines the brand’sclassic 990, givingan updated iteration of the style a 3-D printed midsole (first spotted onthe brand’s Zante Generate).The 3-D printed midsole was created withselective laser sintering (SLS) technology, a process thatconverts apowder material into solid cross sections using a laser.The midsole was manufactured in the U.S.and assembled inNew Balance’s factory in Lawrence, Mass.Paired with the 3-D printed midsole is agarment knitted upper, aleather heel counter, heel pulltab, andblack reflective details on the collar. The shoeswill come packaged in a custom, limited-edition MS066 box. Aside from the sneakers, the MS066 Collection includes two pieces ofapparel pieces, including a quick dry technology-infused pullover witha high-neck and reflective details, anda double-layered quick dry legging and short with a neon drawstring and internal mesh.
