What a year 2015 was for sneaker releases. From Jordan Brand celebrating their 30th anniversary, adidas taking a huge leap to becoming a household name again, along with a range of sneaker collaborations that debuted throughout the year – like Ronnie Fieg continuing his genius with releases.
But one of the biggest things that happen in 2015 were releases associated with rappers, like Drake and Kanye West. But it was Ye that really took over the second half of the year with his first two designed sneakers, the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost and the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost – both of this year’s most-talked-about and demanded sneakers.

10. Nike Sock Dart “White”
The slip-on silhouette hit the shelves in a new all-White colorway dubbed “Triple White.” The breathable knit upper is contrasted by a translucent foot strap, all resting atop a White midsole.
9. Nike Air Presto “Unholy Cumulus”
Originally released in the early 2000s, Nike Sportswear brought back the classic “Unholy Cumulus” colorway. Featuring a mesh upper instead of neoprene that includes a Light Green shade hitting the laces, synthetic overlay and outsole. Red accents standout covering the Nike Swoosh logos to complete this look.
8. Ronnie Fieg x Diamond Supply Co. x ASICS Gel Saga
Ronnie Fieg and West Coast skate brand Diamond Supply Co. and ASICS dropped a three-way collaboration using the Gel Saga and Gel Lyte V silhouettes. Out of the two, the Gel Saga was the better model that feature a durable microperforated Black leather with “Diamond Blue” pigskin suede components.
7. Nike Air Max 1 “Bred”
Nike Sportswear released a special edition Air Max 1 that was inspired by the iconic Air Jordan 1 “Bred” using a similar color scheme with Nike Air branding. That’s enough to be sold on this release.
6. Air Jordan 2 “Don C”
Jordan Brand hooked up with Just Don, a Chicago label that is known for designing highly demanded strapback hats. Inspiration was from a women’s Chanel lambskin handbag, that retails for $5,000. The bag was also manufactured in Italy, just like this collaboration was – as well as the original Air Jordan 2.
5. Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”
Following the highly anticipated retro release in 2013, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago” return with the “OG” treatment built with premium materials for 2015.
4. Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Homage”
Celebrating Ronnie Fieg’s full body of work throughout his successful collaborations with ASICS, he launched the Gel Lyte III “Homage” with all the features you could only dream of onto one shoe.
3. adidas Ultra Boost “White”
The all-White version of the adidas Ultra Boost – most notably donned by Kanye West – was a smash hit when they debuted. The Ultra Boost is a high-performance running sneaker that’s issued in an all-White colorway, with a Primeknit upper riding atop a Boost sole unit.
2. Air Jordan 11 “72-10”
This year’s Air Jordan 11 Holiday 2015 release commemorates the ’95-’96 Chicago Bulls 72-10 record season. The shoe was built unlike any other Air Jordan 11 in past history, having a tumbled leather upper with Microfiber suede to create a look of timelessness, while the tumbled patent leather rand around the shoe features an iridescent sheen.
1. adidas Yeezy 350 Boost
One of the most anticipated sneakers of the summer was undoubtedly the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost. Since the first look spotted in New York at the YEEZY Season 1 show this year, sneakerheads have been doing anything they can to get their hands on Ye’s latest design. The Yeezy 350 Boost is built with a moccasin construction, premium suede arch support with the brand’s highly demanded Boost sole.
BONUS: Air Jordan 4 “Oreo”
Originally released back in 1999, the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Oreo” returned as a remastered release in its original colorway. Featuring Tech Grey accents to the Black premium tumbled leather upper completed the look.
